How to Take Care of Your New Puppy
- Pleasant moments come when your house the arrival of a new family member is a puppy and cute. All the best things are given to him. But a few days later a problem arises that is very disturbing to your mind. Your beloved puppy does not want to eat, stress, diarrhoea, etc. Here are some tips to follow when you get a new puppy.
- After the dog you just bought arrived at home, put it in a quiet place. Don't invite to play in 2-3 hours.Let him adapt to the new environment.
- Do not immediately feed the puppy, this is often done by new dog owners. Newly arrived puppies need time to adapt to a new home. It's best to be fed 12 hours after the dog arrives at home. Dogs that are immediately fed when they arrive will usually have problems a few days later, such as a they might stop eating completely.
- Give enough food, do not continue to feed it doesn't eat. Healthy puppies will consume only as much food as needed. Overeating causes diarrhoea.
- New dog (regardless of age) should not be bathed or given the vaccination at least 1 week since it came.
- New puppies might cry for first few days. If it is crying, leave it alone. This will take around 2-3 days.
- Check the health of the dog you just bought by taking it to the vet.
- To provide comfort to your puppy, provide a warm and comfortable bed. Place your puppy's bed in a quiet place and not much interference. Your puppy may cry on the first night without his mother and siblings, the sound of a small volume of radio or the ticking of a clock will help him feel calmer.
- There are several anxiety reducing apps especially meant for puppies that you can download on your mobile and help your puppy relax and sleep.
- Puppies are one group member in your family. You must teach your dog that you are a leader in the group. After the puppy knows his place, he will be easier to train and obey your commands as a group leader who will protect him and make decisions for him.
